EOTECH Vudu 3-9 Super Short
Causing quite a stir at SHOT Show 2025 for new optics is the EOTECH Vudu 3-9 Super Short. The super short EOTECH Vudu 3-9×32 rifle scope might just be the perfect optic. The housing is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum to be compact, lightweight, and incredibly durable. This second focal plane design comes in at 6.8 inches and is fog, water, and shock resistant. The turrets offer MOA adjustments and are both capped for protection. A rotary dial provides an illuminated reticle with 10 brightness settings and the CR2032 battery provides roughly 300 hours of operation.
The unique design provides an integrated base that is also compatible with any aftermarket mini-ACOG mounts. For those wanting a non-magnified solution, EOTECH offers a version that includes a ring mount and EFLX that can be mounted to the front tube section. It can be positioned at the top or at 45-degree offsets for close or moving targets.
EOTECH HWS DCR
All-new at SHOT Show 2025 is the EOTECH HWS DCR. The EOTECH EXPS3-DCR features the Danger Close Reticle (DCR) that provides fast and accurate shots at typical distances but is also an effective close combat aiming point. Housed in the popular EXPS form factor, offering true “two eyes open” shooting for fast target acquisition, night vision compatible settings and a 7mm raised quick detach base for lower 1/3 iron sight co-witness.
The DCR Reticle is a modification of the popular “speed ring” circle/dot reticle but addresses the point of aim (POA), and point of impact (POI) shift that occurs with close engagements when the primary dot is zeroed at distance. The 68MOA width is maintained but the top of the circle is removed providing a cleaner look.
The bottom of the ring is also removed and replaced with an easy-to-find chevron providing that height over bore adjustment needed for dangerously close shot placement. With a .223/5.56 rifle zeroed at 50 yards, the DCR provides three confident aiming points to include a long-distance 200-yard zero as well as a 7-yard solution.
EOTECH Vudu 5-25 Horus TR5 Reticle
New for SHOT Show 2025 is a rework of the EOTECH Vudu 5-25×50. The popular Vudu 5-25×50 is now available with the new Horus Tremor5 reticle. The Tremor5 reticle is designed to provide the basic capabilities of the Tremor3 reticle but with a clearer field of view.
Removing the Rapid Range bars and moving target holds makes this reticle ideal for competition shooting. And, retaining the 0.2 milliradian Horus Grid, patented time of flight wind dots, and Tremor milling Chevron’s makes it ideal for those looking to engage multiple targets at various ranges, both quickly and accurately.
The 5-25x is ideal for short-platform rifles. At approximately 11.2 inches, the 5-25X is one of the shortest first focal plane riflescopes on the market. The elevation turret includes a push/pull locking system and EOTECH’s EZ Chek Zero Stop. It consists of a 34mm tube, illuminated reticle, one-piece eyepiece, and reticle/turrets in both MOA and MRAD.
